Based on over 25 years of research on how the brain learns, the five Fast ForWord Language to Reading exercises use patented technology to help students learn to associate language sounds with the letters of the alphabet, and introduce language structures like grammar and syntax.

Students at computers listen through headphones and use the computer mouse as they interact with the exercises of Fast ForWord® Language to Reading software. With each click of the mouse, Fast ForWord Language to Reading software adapts to the individual student's progress, providing efficient, targeted skill development.

Fast ForWord Language to Reading software was designed to help students make lasting improvements quickly and efficiently. Students using the software follow one of two intensive schedules:

  • 90 minutes a day, five days a week, for 4-8 weeks

OR

  • 50 minutes a day, five days a week, for 8-12 weeks

By following either the 90-Minute Protocol or the 50-Minute Protocol, students can achieve maximum success.

Start-Up Stories : Students hear three familiar tales, each presented with a different twist, as the exercise develops listening comprehension skills as well as grammar and syntax.

Trog Walkers : In this prehistoric foot race students discriminate between similar sounds as they train the memory and the listening comprehension skills necessary for learning to read.
