WHAT IS IT?

Fast ForWord® Language software is a computer-based suite of exercises that rapidly develop the foundational skills known to be pre-requisites for reading. Based on over 25 years of research on how the brain learns, the seven Fast ForWord Language exercises use patented technology to develop oral language comprehension and listening skills. The software's fun, focused exercises help students quickly and efficiently make dramatic, lasting gains in the skills that will help them learn to read. On average, students who work with Fast ForWord Language software make language gains of 1-2 years in just 4-8 weeks. | HOW DOES IT WORK? |
Students at computers listen through headphones and use the computer mouse as they interact with the Fast ForWord® Language exercises. With each click of the mouse, Fast ForWord Language adapts to the individual student's progress, providing efficient, targeted training.

How long does Fast ForWord Language software take to complete?
Fast ForWord Language software was designed to help students make lasting improvements quickly and efficiently. Students using the software follow one of three intensive schedules:
- 100 minutes a day, five days a week, for 4-8 weeks
OR
- 75 minutes a day, five days a week, for 6-10 weeks
OR
- 50 minutes a day, five days a week, for 8-12 weeks
By following the 100-Minute Protocol, the 75-Minute Protocol, or the 50-Minute Protocol, students can achieve maximum success.

Phonic Words: In this word-identification exercise, participants hear a word and identify the matching picture to improve sound processing and word recognition skills. |

Language Comprehension Builder: Students build language comprehension skills as they see four pictures depicting action and must match a spoken sentence with the correct picture. |

Circus Sequence: Under the Big Top, students differentiate between short tones to improve the sequencing, sound processing and working memory skills crucial for fluent reading. |
